Above is the second out of three videos showing Troop 405 Scouts building marshmallow shooters at a Troop meeting.

This video shows the Scouts experimenting with the shooters, and the start of a marshmallow battle.

This video shows the Scouts preparing to cut PVC pipe. They will then connect the PVC and glue it in place.

Check out a video of some runners in the Pittsburgh Marathon, held on Sunday, May 2, 2010. Over 16,000 runners participated in this year’s marathon, making this a record-breaking year for the race.

This video was taken by Scouts from Troop 405 who were volunteering with amateur radio communications at the marathon.

Above is a video showing one of six wheelchair athletes in the Pittsburgh Marathon, held on Sunday, May 2, 2010 in Pittsburgh, PA. These wheelchair athletes can complete the entire 26.2 mile course in under 1 hour 45 minutes. I bet you’ve never seen wheelchairs like these before!

The Boy Scouts of America recently announced the purchase of 10,000 acres in the Mount Hope/Glen Jean area of Fayette County, West Virginia. The property was purchased to build a high adventure base in the Eastern United States. The camp will be called The Summit: Bechtel Family National Scout Reserve. The scouts have also announced they were moving the Boy Scouts National Jamboree to this site in the year 2013.

What do Scouts do, and what is their favorite part of Scouting? The short video above answers these questions with the theme “Scouting is my direction.”
